How do I start?

How much does it cost?
The monthly fee is only $49.99 per month.  This will give you the ability sell as many products as you like.

How many items can I sell?
There is no limit to the amount of items you are allowed to sell!  Display everything you stock - sell it all!

How do customers access my store?
Your store will be accessible via http://www.axxacommerce.com/YourStoreName
If you would like your store to have its' own Domain name i.e. www.YourStoreName.com
You can accomplish this by registering your own domain name.  If you would like assistance in registering your new domain name please e-mail sales at Domain Registration

Are online transactions safe through AxxaCommerce?
Yes!  Our encryption services are provide by VerisignTM the leader in encryption technology.  All orders are securely processed through our SSL (Secure Socket Layer) connections.

Do I have to sign a contract?
No - None of us like contracts!  We rely solely on our customer service and support to keep you as our customer. :-)

I don't know any HTML or other coding.  Can I still set up a store?
Yes - Our Store Building Wizard does all the work for you.  Advanced users may add html code for further enhancement.

Do I need an Internet Merchant Account first?
No - You do not need a Internet Merchant Account to build your store or operate it, however your store will not have the ability to accept credit cards on-line and this will severely limit your sales.

What if I do not have my own domain name yet?
No problem - The Store Building Wizard does not require you to have your own domain name to build or operate your store.

Can I accept credit cards?
Yes - Once you have aquired your Internet Merchant Account, your store will have the ability to accept all major credit cards.

How do I record and track my sales?
Easily - Our management console gives you all the tools and reporting that you need to track your transactions on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis.

How do I record and track sales tax and gross sales?
No Problem - Our management console gives you all the tools and reporting that you need to track your transactions on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis.

Am I limited to using your store styles or can I customize my own graphics?
No - You are never limited. If you are an advanced user you can design and upload virtually all areas of your store.  Not an advanced user - don't want to do your own graphics?  Don't worry, we have several design packages - E-mail sales for more details Custom Designs

Can I still use my internet service provider?
Yes, you must continue to use the Internet Server Provider you are currently using.  AxxaCommerce does not provide that service.

What is an Internet Merchant Account
It is a necessary component established by the Merchant to permit their business to accept payments from credit card holders through the Internet and then deposits those funds into the Merchant's bank account.

What is a secure payment gateway?
It is a secure encrypted channel that transports credit card transaction information from the Merchant's website to the credit card processing network and then posts the results back to the Merchant's website in real-time.  This also gives your customers the confidence that their credit card number will not be stolen if they buy merchandise from your website.

What are the rates and fees associated with a credit card processing Internet Merchant Account and Secure Payment Gateway?
  • Merchant Account Application Fee: Waived
  • Merchant Account Annual Fee: Waived
  • Merchant Account Setup Fee: Waived
  • Merchant Account Monthly Support Fee: $10.00
  • Merchant Account Monthly Minimum Fee: $15.00
  • Visa/MasterCard Discount Rate: 2.39%
  • Merchant Account Transaction Fee: $0.30

Is there a lease associated with my internet merchant account?
No, there are no leasing fees or lease commitments.

How long does it take to get an internet merchant account approved?
Upon receipt of your completed application, it will take two to three business days for an approval.

Are my credit card transactions secure?
Yes, they are encrypted and passed through a Secure Payment Gateway.

How will I receive my credit card processed funds?
They are direct deposited into your business checking account.

When will I receive my processed credit card transactions?
Your funds will be directly deposited into your Business Checking Account in two to three business days.  You must batch your orders in order to authorize the funds to be transferred. Batching is an easy process that requires you to review your orders and then click on them to be submitted.

Do I need to open a new checking account?
No, all funds are deposited directly into your existing Business Checking Account at the bank of your choice.

Can I use my personal checking account to deposit my credit card transactions?
No, due to Visa and MasterCard regulations, personal checking accounts are not permitted to receive bankcard funds.

What credit cards can I accept?
Yes, American Express and Discover can also be processed, however they require separate approval and have different rates.  We will handle this process for you.

This is a new business - Can I still get approved for an Internet Merchant Account?
Yes, most companies and business types are approved whether new or established.

What kind of credit history do I need to be approved for an Internet Merchant Account?
Most accounts are approved, however the final decision is up to the processor.  If you have a special credit problem, it would be best to consult with one of our New Account Specialists.

What is a discount rate?
This is the percentage amount paid by the merchant to accept a credit card sale.  For example, if a customer purchased an item from the Merchant's website for $100.00, the Merchant would pay $2.39 in discount rate to accept that charge.

What is a monthly minimum?
$15.00 minus the net discount and transaction fees actually paid in that month.  In the event your fees exceed $15.00, no monthly minimum will be paid.

Can I use your services even if I already have an Internet Merchant Account?
If you have a Merchant Account that is Internet ready and compatible with our Secure Payment Gateway, then it is quite possible.  It would be best to contact one of our New Account Specialists to determine this.  Remember, there are no start-up fees associated with our Internet Merchant Account.
